Miguel Angel Sanchez, known affectionately by his loved ones as "Miguelito," brought laughter and joy to the world from the moment he arrived in New York, NY, on November 30, 1962. On August 24, 2025, at the age of 62, Miguelito took his final curtain call in Fitchburg, MA, leaving a legacy of mirth and kindness that will never be forgotten.
Miguelito was the spark of his family, the youngest of two children. His parents, Miguel Sanchez and Carmen Ramos, his sister Doris Sanchez, and cousin Jeannette, may have preceded him in taking their bows, but the stories of their escapades together are the stuff of legend. Raised under the Puerto Rican sun, Miguelito's early years were filled with the warmth of his family, rhythms of salsa music, the laughter of his many cousins and the lively streets of his island home. He was known for his mischievous pranks, and his infectious chuckle could light up even the dreariest of days.
His spirit is carried on by his beloved aunt Sofia Sanchez, along with a dynamic ensemble cast of cousins-including Nilsa, Edwin, Iris, Ada, Carmen, Maricelys, Julio, Grenda, Omar, Jazmine, Keila, and Joel-shared in his adventures. Together, they created a symphony of joy that resonated across Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and Delaware.
Miguelito's passion for life was evident from his days as an altar boy, where he served with a twinkle in his eye and a penchant for keeping the congregation on their toes. Education was a journey Miguelito embarked on with the same gusto he approached everything else. His love for learning took him from the classrooms of Puerto Rico to the halls of higher education in Massachusetts, where he continued to charm and enlighten those around him.
In the world of work, Miguelito wore many hats with flair. His quest for knowledge was matched only by his zest for life. Whether he was delivering pizzas with a smile, Chinese food from Jades, or tidying up as a custodian, he performed each job with a comedic grace that left an indelible mark on his colleagues. However, it was his role as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) where Miguelito truly shined, offering not just his help but his heart to those in his care. Miguelito was a hardworking man, often juggling two to three jobs, spreading joy and a helping hand wherever he went.
Miguelito's interests were as vast as his sense of humor. He was a music enthusiast, and the life of every party. Hs friends in Fitchburg and Leominster could always count on him for a good story, a helping hand, and a belly laugh. He was the embodiment of the words loving, kind, and funny.
To say Miguelito was a jokester, would be an understatement. He was the master of mirth, a man whose smile was as infectious as a viral internet meme. As loving, kind, and funny as they come, he was the human embodiment of a warm hug and a hearty laugh. He was a die hard Yankees fan, with a wanderlust soul, who cherished traveling and the simple joy of being alive.
Miguelito's departure leaves a void in the world of comedy that can never be filled. Yet, those who were fortunate enough to bask in his light know that his spirit will continue to dance among us, prompting smiles and laughter when we need it most. Miguelito never lost his spark; he turned it into a bonfire that warmed everyone around him. He was a life lived to the fullest, a story told with laughter, and a journey shared with an open heart.
Miguel Angel Sanchez, our beloved Miguelito, may have exited the stage, but the echoes of his laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who loved him. Let us remember him as he would have wanted: with joy in our hearts and a chuckle on our lips. So let's raise a glass, not in sorrow, but in celebration of a man who taught us that a day without laughter is a day wasted. Miguelito, thank you for the encore performances that will play on in our memories forever. Vaya con Dios, and keep the angels entertained with your punchlines.
Calling hours will be held in Richardson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a service to follow.
