Miguel Gil Valverde, born on January 13, 1981, in Dumas, Texas, was a beacon of resilience, radiating strength and positivity to all who were fortunate to cross his path. Miguel was a thoughtful soul whose generosity knew no bounds. His loving nature led him to become an amazing brother, a cherished uncle, and a friend to many. He was the type of person who would give you his last dollar and the shirt off his back without a moment's hesitation.
Miguel's life was a testimony to the belief that "we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." This was evident in his unwavering commitment to solving not just his problems, but those of others. His infectious smile, coupled with his ability to make people happy even in the most challenging situations, made him a valued figure in his community. Miguel was known for his sage advice, a soothing balm to weary hearts. His love for his nephew was profound, treating him with the care, attention, and affection of a doting father.
Miguel leaves behind his brothers Gilbert and Angel Valverde, his sister Jean Yeats and her husband Donny, his sister-in-law Marielena Valverde, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Delfina Valverde.
A visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martin's Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A visitation prior to the service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Holly Hills Memorial Park, followed by the graveside service at 12:00 pm.
Miguel's life was a testament to the power of resilience, thoughtfulness, and love. He was a beacon of hope and a source of strength for many. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. We invite you to share your memories of Miguel and upload your photos to his memorial page, to help us celebrate his remarkable life.
