Mike (Lino) Agius, 90, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2025. He was born on the island of Malta on May 12, 1935, to Anthony and Violet (Spiteri) Agius. His family survived World War II, and at age 14, Mike moved to America. While attending high school, he began working full-time for General Motors. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he had the opportunity to travel the world. Following his service, he returned to GM and remained there until his retirement.
Mike was a confirmed bachelor until he met the love of his life, Evie. They were blessed with five children and watched their family grow to include twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Together, they built a legacy of love.
Mike wasn't just the patriarch of our family-he was its heart. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted and steadfast husband and father through all of life's seasons. He was defined by his kindness, compassion, and unwavering loyalty. He loved generously-not just with his time, but with his entire spirit.
He had a passion for staying active-whether it be running, exercising, or gliding across the water on skis. His love for movement reflected the vitality with which he approached each day.
Above all, Mike fiercely loved his family. He was our anchor, our encourager, and our greatest example of what it means to live with LOVE. He is irreplaceable, and we will honor and cherish him for the rest of our lives.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Evie; his children: Cindy Spaulding (Ric), Lisa Hodgkinson (Tony), Tina Zuchowski (Joe), Michael Agius (Shannon), and Julie Rose (Steve); twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Rose Huthwaite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Violet Agius, and his brother, Ronald Agius.
In accordance with Mike's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th Street, Bradenton, Florida 34209.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to Empath Tidwell Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mike was such a joyful man. We knew him from Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where he was a regular at Divine Mercy devotions on Wednesday afternoon. He always prayed for his family, saying "Lord, you know what their needs are." We will miss him. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
