When Mike was discharged from the Air Force, he moved to Jefferson City, MO and worked for the Department of Corrections, this started his love of law enforcement. He attended the Southeast Missouri State Law Enforcement Academy thus, starting his career as a police officer. Mike worked for Scott County Sheriff's Office, Mississippi County Sheriff's Office, Matthews Police Department and was currently with Christian County Sheriff's Office.
In his spare time, Mike loved to cook. He would always try a new recipe, especially if it was Cajun! He had served as a Sikeston Jaycee for years, while enjoying their rodeos and crawfish boils. In recent years, Mike and some friends put together Law Bugz, to cook crawfish at the Bayou Bandit Annual Bug Bash.
