Mike Austin, 62, of Sheboygan, passed away on February 1, 2026. He was born Sheboygan, WI on February 14, 1963, and was preceded in death by his father, Orland Austin.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Heather (Rick) Rolkosky and Kariana Fogle; and his six grandchildren: Emma, Olivia, Avaya, and Rhett Rolkosky, and Jaxson and Jozlyn Fogle, who were the absolute light of his life.
Mike was an avid shoreline fisherman who found peace near the water. He also had a fascination with aquatic life and took pride in keeping large fish tanks, including piranhas and other fish. A hard worker by nature, Mike worked tirelessly throughout his life. When health challenges made physical labor difficult, he adapted and continued working as a taxi driver in Sheboygan, always finding a way to keep going.
Mike was rough around the edges, but those who truly knew him understood the depth of his heart. He loved fiercely and gave everything he had to the people he cared about.
Mike also faced a long and difficult battle with alcoholism and addiction—struggles that deeply affected his health and mental well-being. While his passing is believed to be due to natural causes, his family hopes that sharing this part of his story may help others feel less alone. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that help is available, and reaching out can make all the difference.
Mike’s life was complex, marked by both hardship and love, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
