Michael E. "Mike" Barry

Michael E."Mike" Barry, 66, of California, MO passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Mary's Health Ctr. in Jefferson City, MO. Mike was born on February 26, 1959 in Jefferson City, MO the son of Harold E. "Red" Barry and Deloyce (Renken) Barry. Mike was a member of the Olean Christian Church and helped teach Bible school. He was a 1977 graduate of California High School. Mike worked when he was a teenager for Robert Barry Construction and later went on to work for 16 years as a computer teacher's aide for the California School System. Mike enjoyed every kind of racing you could think of including online racing and farm simulator as well as staying very active with his computer. He is survived by his mother Deloyce "Dee" Barry of the home; brother, Mark Barry (Robin) of Russellville, MO; nieces and nephews, Heather Abbott (Mykel), Travis Barry (Laura) and Adrianne Barry; great nephews, Wyatt Barry, Connor Barry, William Abbott and Samuel Abbott. The family would like to give a big thank you to Mark and Andy Cram for helping and spending time with Mike and taking him to many races, events and car shows. Also another big thank you to the many loyal caregivers over the years. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. "Red" Barry. Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00 A.M-12 Noon with a memorial service immediately following at 12 noon all at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Pastor Lon Hardy. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Show Me Christian Youth Home or Olean Christian Church c/o the funeral home.
