Mike Batterson

Mike J. Batterson, 59, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Boone County, Iowa, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. A prayer service will be conducted by Pastor Kay. Michael Jay Batterson was born on March 13, 1964, in Long Beach, California, the son of Vernon and Diane (Carlson) Batterson. Mike graduated with the Dayton High School class of 1982. He was married to Teresa Anderson for several years and later divorced.
Mike was employed at Electrolux in Webster City and later as a mechanic at Tony's Tire. At the time of his passing Mike was employed by Love's Truck Stop in Ellsworth. Mike enjoyed riding dirt bikes in his younger years as well as building model cars and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Batterson, and his brother Sam Batterson.
Survivors include his mother, Diane Esperson; daughter, Brittany Batterson; brothers, Boyd Batterson, and Josh Batterson; and longtime friend, Kelly Ubben.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
