Mike R. Bennett October 8, 1954 – September 30, 2025

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Mike R. Bennett announces his passing on September 30, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 70.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bennett, and he leaves behind his loving mother, Barbara Bennett, his devoted wife, Grace Bennett; his children Matthew Bennett, Krissi Bennett, and Shannon Bennett; his stepchildren Deborah Ann (Jaime) and George Edward (Flor); and his beloved grandchildren Keanu, Sahalie, Gael and Jaheer who brought endless joy and laughter into his life.

Mike dedicated 30 years of his career as an electrical engineer at La Tuna Prison, where he took pride in his work and the friendships he made. Outside of work, he was a man of many passions. He loved playing bass in a country western band, cheering on his favorite NASCAR driver Tony Stewart, following the New England Patriots, and spending time outdoors hunting. Mike also had a fun-loving spirit-whether enjoying a big bowl of hot salsa, rewatching his favorite film The Blues Brothers, or sharing stories with family, he was always full of life and humor. Above all, Mike treasured being with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by his loved ones, creating memories that will forever live in their hearts.

Mike will be remembered as a kind, hardworking, and joyful man whose love for family, music, and life left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
