Mr. Michael Joe Dyar, 66, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at his home.
Born on February 15, 1957 in Anderson, SC, Mike was the son of the late Scottie Joe Dyar and Shelvie Jean Cromer Johnson. Mr. Dyar received his Bachelor's Degree from Clemson University, and was a financial advisor for Edward Jones Hartwell Office for 26 years. He was also a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church, and he loved the Atlanta Braves and spending time with "The Fun Bunch."
Mike was an avid hunter & fisherman, collector of guns & knives, loved music, and was the last member of the Good Ole Boys Band. He was a member of Savannah River Chapter #592 Trout Unlimited, Elberton Gun Club, Ducks Unlimited, member & past president of the Hartwell Kiwanis Club, and former member & past president of the Live Oak Kiwanis Club. Mike loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife: Rhonda Moon Dyar of Hartwell; sons: Reagan Dyar of Hartwell, and Jeremy Dyar of Lavonia; brother: Bryan Dyar (Ruby) of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren: Aubrey & Bentley Dyar; two nephews: Jonathan Dyar and Charlie Slayton; one niece: Susan Slayton; and one great-nephew: Reese Slayton.
Mike wished to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Savannah River Chapter #592, Trout Unlimited, PO Box 1334, Hartwell GA 30643.
