Mike passed away peacefully in his Entiat River home surrounded by family. He was born in
Redlands, CA and graduated high school in
Yucaipa, CA in 1965. Mike married his long-time sweetheart in 1967. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969, receiving two Purple Hearts and a Combat Veteran Award. Mike and Rita welcomed their son Doug in 1972 and daughter Tracy in 1976. They relocated to Washington in 1976. Home was in Omak, followed by Brewster, Cashmere, and finally Entiat. Mike worked in banking until 1990 and real estate appraisal until 2022. His friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge, and sincere enjoyment of people turned many colleagues into friends. He will always be remembered with gray Wrangler slacks, a button-down dress shirt, cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and a smile.
Mike was a true example of salt of the earth. He was an excellent father, brother, husband, friend, and just plain a really good man! He always thought of others' needs first. His journey on this earth was one marked by generosity, kindness, and humility. He was always present and provided a sense of belonging to those around him. He wanted to know about your life. He wanted to make you smile and usually did. His day-to-day example of living was one of love. One cannot measure the tremendous ripple effect of his love and compassion.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Reginald Tracy, Dorthy Shotwell, and Charles Eisenhard; his sisters, Deedee and Charlene; and his lifelong love, Rita Eisenhard. Mike is survived by his children, Doug and Tracy; daughter-in-law, Delena; beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cameron, Madelyn, and Aspen; and many cherished loved ones and friends. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will always be cherished!
