Mike Halvorson, 70, of Stoddard, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home.

He was born January 25, 1955 in Wauwatosa, WI to the late Martin (Marty) and Lucille (Lu) Halvorson.

Mike was a millwright for Weyerhauser/Marshfield Door for 43 years. It was here where he developed many long-lasting friendships with co-workers, some to this day.

Mike was well known for his sense of humor, colorful stories, and conversations that always turned into laughter. Those closest to him will never forget his legendary one-liners: simple, clever, and delivered with impeccable timing. Mike had a soft spot for dogs, a loathing for cats and vegetables, and was rarely seen without his blue jeans and cowboy boots, which he wore like a badge of honor, even to the beach. He lived life with a devil-may-care attitude, never taking himself too seriously. In doing so, he showed that life doesn't have to be complicated to be good.

He is survived by his children, Nicky Gaulke (Troy Deiler), Phil Halvorson (Jamie Fernald), Dana (Karl) Wrobel, their mother Betty (Alan) McHugh, and 8 grandchildren: Austin, Luke, Logan, Jaiger, Hannah, Beau, Lucy, and Amelia. He is further survived by a sister, Judy (Bob) Daberkow, niece Heather Bielen, and nephew Travis Bielen. He leaves us with many memories and stories but also with broken hearts.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Rembs Funeral Home, 300 S. Oak Ave, Marshfield. Visitation at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00.
