Michael "Mike" Edward Haught, 68 of Independence, KY died peacefully at his home on December 22nd 2025.
Mike was born on November 29th 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware to Andrew R. Haught and Jean A. Haught (Myers). He attended Conrad High School where he played football.
He moved to Kentucky in 1993. Mike recently retired from Welding Alloys but had spent many years at The Discovery Channel and General Motors.
Mike was extremely proud of and loved his family. He's survived by his kids Michael (Brittany) and Brittany (Nolan); Grandkids Brilynn, Brinleigh, Elias, Millie, Hudson, and a new grandson arriving any day; Sister Catherine Haught, Mary Ann Maymi and brother Andrew Haught. He is proceeded in death by his daughter Crystal and both his parents.
A Celebration of Life will held on January 24, 2025 at Don Catchen Family Funeral Home from 11am to 1pm. Services will be at 1pm.

So sorry to hear about Mike´s passing. He and I have been corresponding for the past year or two. I know he had medical problems, but he was really upbeat about possibly taking some trips in the near future. It´s a shame that he never made them. I always thought of Mike as a good guy. RIP, Mike. Condolences to the family,, from the Michael and Christine Marenco,, ex nephew to Mike, was recently speaking to him about his plans to retire and travel, since we live in are rv and travel and work, he was a great man.
