Mike Keilman

Mike Keilman was the loving husband of Helen; proud father of Carolyn (Bruce) Krich and Michelle (Dan) Jordan; cherished grandpa of McKenzie (Clint) Krich, Kendall Krich; beloved papa to Jack Jordan. Mike was proceeded in death by his parents: Harold and Blanche Keilman.
Mike was born in Elgin, IL as Harold Michael Keilman on July 17th, 1951 and passed away in Riverwoods, IL on June 8th, 2024.
Mike lived his life on his own terms and to the fullest! He was a private pilot flying both planes and helicopters. He enjoyed music and played drums in several bands through the years. He owned his own business for 20+ years doing CNC machinery repair. He was a 'Jack of all trades' that did electrical work, plumbing, woodwork, car repairs and basically any project or repair you could think of. He was everyone's 'go to' guy because he knew how to help and he was happy to do so. He liked to swim, fish, ride bikes, go for boat rides, watch movies and play with his grandchildren. In the rare times that he sat down to relax, he would be found with an Old Style in his hand watching his beloved Chicago sports teams, both the Bears and the Cubs.
A celebration of life party will take place in his favorite place, his garage, on June 29th, 2024. Anytime after 1pm. If anyone needs information on where the party is located please reach out to Helen, Carolyn or Michelle.
