Mike Sevier, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jana Sevier, and his cherished children: Katie (Joe) Mort, Christopher (Kim) Sevier, and Tommy (Brittani) Sevier. Mike was also a proud grandfather to Blake McMullen, Kaylin Mort, Cole Sevier, Carter Sevier, Crosby Sevier, Maryn Miller, and Avery Sevier.
Born to the late LeRoy and Joann Sevier, Mike was a caring brother to Dan (Kathy) Sevier, brother-in-law to Dean (Darryl) Vaught, uncle to Cody (Kaylee) Sevier, and Collene (Daniel) Tucker; great-uncle to Bryce Tucker, and Owen Tucker; cousin, and friend to many. His love for family was evident in everything he did, whether traveling together or attending hockey and baseball games, where he made countless memories.
Mike dedicated his life to education as a teacher at McCluer North High School. He was not only a mentor to his students but also an inspiring coach for the football and baseball teams at the school. After retiring from teaching, he continued to share his passion for the sport as a baseball coach at Timberland High School. Mike had a unique ability to connect with everyone he met; he truly did not know a stranger. His warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in the lives of others made him a beloved figure in the community.
Throughout his career, Mike saw the potential in his students and players, always encouraging them to reach for their dreams. He cherished reconnecting with former students and players, taking great joy in hearing about their successes.
Mike's legacy of love, mentorship, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Sevier; father, Leroy Sevier; and his in-laws, Joe (Jane) Manetzke.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a memorial service at 6:00 pm with visitation to continue after until 8:00 pm, all on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date please check back for details.
