Tyler Neal Carlson, age 31, of
Wentzville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2020. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 10, 1989, he attended Timberland High School and graduated in May 2008.
Tyler was the beloved son of Neal Carlson (deceased) and Diane McCoy. He is survived by his grandparents, Gustave and Thelma Carlson, his mother, Diane, his sister, Lindsay (Ted) Zeiter, his stepbrother, Tony Perrone, and his two nephews, Theodore and Henry Zeiter. Tyler was a loving grandson, son, brother, uncle, and a cherished friend to many.
Tyler was a kind, caring, and dependable soul who made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His natural ability to listen and offer support, whether through words of encouragement or simply sitting in quiet companionship, made him a rock in the lives of his family and friends. Tyler's ability to show up when needed most was evident in many ways, as there were countless times when he would drop everything to help those he loved.
A passionate and adventurous spirit, Tyler enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout his life. He loved camping, especially in the mountains of Colorado, and was an avid paintball enthusiast. He held a deep love for video games, from childhood days spent playing with his siblings to later evenings spent playing PUBG with friends. He enjoyed going to concerts and sharing the live music experiences with his friends and siblings.
Tyler was also known for his love of being "the cool uncle" to his two nephews. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was taking them to the movies, playing at the park, or simply being present for them as they grew up.
In his career, Tyler worked in retail at Target, Lowe's, and Best Buy, where his helpful, friendly nature made him a favorite among coworkers and customers alike. Supervisors spoke highly of him, and clients would often call to praise his exceptional customer service and dedication to meeting their needs. But Tyler's greatest gift was his ability to connect with others on a personal level. He was an advocate for mental health and always ready to lend a listening ear, reminding everyone that it was okay to reach out for support.
Tyler's presence was a source of joy, strength, and love to all who knew him. He made the world a better place just by being in it, and the ripples of his impact will be felt long after his passing. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville from 12:00-1:00pm on Saturday, January 18th, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2-5pm at Friendship Brewery, Flint Hill location.
