Mike Smith Obituary

He was a native of Oconee County before moving to Anderson 35 years ago. He was a retired shop foreman of Kia of Anderson. He served in the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church.
Mike is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean Smith of Anderson; son, Christian Smith, of Camden, N.C. and two granddaughters, Haley and Madison Smith. Brother, Larry Smith of Walhalla, three nieces and a nephew and the much loved adopted family of Evan and Leslie Gailey, Taylor, Brody, Ty, and Camdyn.
He was the son of Ola Pitts Jamison of Walhalla, and Calvin Smith, of Clarksville, Ga. In addition to his parents Mike was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Dickard and Shirley Butts, two brothers, Benny Morris and Jack Ray, and one great granddaughter, Lilah.
At Mike's request there was a private memorial service held on July 29, 2022 with inurnment at M J Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Neals Creek Baptist Church, 3204 Amity Road Ext, Anderson, SC 29621.
