Terry Michael "Mike" Tice, age 65, of Fair Grove, Missouri, passed on to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri after a long illness. He was born on October 16, 1957, in Kennett, Missouri, to Norman and Loudean (Wyatt) Tice.
In high school, Mike was a huge part of the Kennett Indians athletics, competing in baseball, football, and track. Mike was united in marriage to Sherry Wright on December 22, 1979, and from this union, two sons, Jason, and David, would be born. He graduated from Central Bible College in May of 1980 with a degree in theology. He took on many callings to pastor Assembly of God Churches in Cape Girardeau Assembly of God, Hillsborough Assembly of God, and Gideon First Assembly of God. He had a magnetic personality which helped him later in his career in sales. He worked for various limousine and car dealerships, helping to build the industry in the Springfield area. Mike loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was also a dedicated St. Louis Cardinal fan. His humor and spirit will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jason in 2011; and a brother, Gary Tice.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Tice; his son and wife, David and Clare Tice; four grandchildren, June, Christa, Damian, and McKenna; 3 sisters, Ann, Carol, and Sherry; numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North, Springfield, Missouri. A service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. also in the funeral home.
