She was born on December 12, 1954 in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Graciano Hernandez and Francisca Irene.
She is survived by her sons, Jose Raul Santaella Hernandez, Samuel (Mayra Mendez) Santaella Hernandez, Angel Luis (Mignelia Ortiz) Santaella Hernandez, and Raul (Raysaliz Casillas) Santaella Ortiz.
