Milan John Brumit Jr.
April 30, 1942 – August 16, 2024
Milan John Brumit Jr, 82, of La Junta, CO passed away at Bent County Nursing Home on, August 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 30, 1942 in La Junta, CO to Lorraine & Milan (Caponera) Brumit Sr.
Milan spent his life in the agriculture buying and selling cattle and was also an auctioneer. He trained horses for roping and taught all three of his children to ride and compete in rodeo. His love for animals was unmatched and you could always catch him saving a stray. He always had a smile on when you needed it, he did not know a stranger.
At Milan’s request he will be cremated and his ashes will be taken home by his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Genie; daughter, Jessie (Tim), four grandchildren, Cole, Aspen, Laney and Haylie; and four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Gerald and sister Pattie.
The family would like to thank the Bent County Nursing Home for their wonderful care of Milan.
