Mrs. Ann "Annie" S. Collins, age 80, went to her eternal home on Thursday, March 27, 2025 with her family by her side after a brief stay at Grand Strand Medical Center.
She was an only child born on December 11, 1944 in Conway, SC to the late Cecil Suggs and Mildred Norris Suggs.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended the University of South Carolina at Coastal, and retired from the US Postal Service. Annie was a "southern woman" who never met a stranger and made all feel like family. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat club for several years, reading, spending time with friends and family, doting on her grandchildren and dog, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks and Dallas Cowboys football teams. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hugh George Collins, Jr. Surviving are her two children, Gigi Collins of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Hugh G. "Trae" Collins, III (Michelle) of Conway, SC; two grandchildren, Conor Collins of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Stella Kunz, SA, US Navy; neighbor and dear friend Tina, and her dog of 10 years, Tank.
