Funeral Services for Mildred Joanna Ervin of Brownfield, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2023 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mildred was born on November 21, 1927 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Joseph Clyde and Ida Sue Day. As a young girl, she moved from Oklahoma to Brownfield in a wagon and lived in a wagon camp. She married James Roy Ervin on September 3, 1946 in Vernon, Texas. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Mildred was a giving and loving person, that never met a stranger. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Roy Ervin; sons, Randy Lewis Ervin and Joseph Roy Ervin; sisters, Ginger Roberts and Vivian Wilson and great-grandchildren, Randy Atkins and Riley Reidhead.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Sandy Atkins and husband Robert of Lubbock; grandchildren, Britt Atkins and wife Cammy of Lubbock, Tiffany Becka and husband Russell of New Braunfels, Gayla Brown and husband Clay of Spur, Joseph Ervin and wife Leann of Midland and Carrie Hext of Lubbock; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Hext; honorary daughters, Sue Click of Brownfield and Lavonda Morris of Lubbock, and many friends.
