Mildred Lindsey Howard

Mildred Lindsey Howard departed this life one Thursday, January 15, 2026. She was born on March 26, 1940 to the late Ethel Wilson and Joseph Lindsey in New Orleans, La. She was joined in marriage to the late Floyd Howard Jr. on September 18, 1958. From this union 2 children were born, Angela Howard and Kim Howard. Mildred accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late G. Dunmars at Rising Star MBC. She received her diploma from Booker T. Washington and completed a Dietician program where she was employed at Depaul Hospital and later became a Psych Tech.

She leaves to cherish her memories 3 grandchildren: Floyd Morris, Jaleesa Dillon, Monique Torrence, and 1 deceased granddaughter, Tanisha Clark; 8 great grandchildren: Terrial, Jaquez, Jazmin, Jermaine, Kynnidi, Jayden, Shawn, and Maison; 1 great grandson: Kyrie; 6 siblings: Armenta, Anthony, Desiree, Wanda, and Lisa. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Lyons; sister: Jerryadine Smith; niece: Millicent Smith. She is also survived by 1 sister-in-law, Mercedes Brown, and a host of relatives and friends.

Everyone is invited to attend her Funeral Service at Rising Star MB Church, 8817 Hickory Street, New Orleans, La. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10:00am, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. C. L. Franklin. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Internment will be at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, La.
