Mildred Pioche King, 82, of Teec Nos Pos, AZ originally from Whiterock and Lake Valley, NM, passed away on July 17, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1943, in Crownpoint, NM to Earl and Georgianna Pioche.
Mildred was born to Dzilt’ahnii/ born for Tse nabilnii.
Mildred was the eldest of nine children born to Earl and Georgianna Pioche. Mildred spent her elementary and middle school years at Lake Valley Navajo School. She was a proud graduate of Wingate High School. Mildred spent her early years as a homemaker while her children pursued education and career. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, walking JMI, rug weaving, and watching NBA basketball.
Mildred is preceded in death by her loving husband Willie N. King, parents Earl and Georginanna Pioche, and sisters Rosie Pioche, Gladys Pioche, and Harriet Pioche.
She is survived by her sons Shawn King, Gabriel King, and Gregory King, daughters Gwendolyn Charlee and Shawnna King, brother Sandy Pioche, sisters Shirley Pioche, Gloria Pioche, Roselyn Begay, and Alberta Pioche, grandchildren Alan Charlee, Tashina Deckard Kyla Charlee, Andre King, and Austin King, and great grandchildren Landon Woods and Adonis King.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at Farmington Funeral Home in Farmington, NM. Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at a Family Plot in Lake Valley, NM. A reception will be held at 1:30 PM at the Lake Valley Chapter House.
Pallbearers are Shawn King, Gabriel King, Gregory King, Alan Charlee, Austin King, and Andre King.
