Mildred Nodes Obituary

She was born in Erie on June 26, 1929, a daughter of the late Oscar G. and Mary E. (Nass) Krantz.
Mildred was very active in the church choirs and was a long-time member of Lawrence Park United Methodist Church. She was an avid bird watcher and was very creative in arts and crafts. Mildred loved reading, playing piano, playing cards and having luncheons with friends. She was the Salutatorian of Harbor Creek High School of 1947.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2007 and a son, Michael Nodes in 1999.
She is survived by her twin sister, Dorothy Youngman (William) of Erie PA, children, Kenneth Nodes (Cora) of Vermillion, OH, James Nodes (Kathleen) of Newport News, VA, Pamela Morrow (Glenn) of Titusville, PA, and Barbara Nodes-Nakoski of Harborcreek, PA, daughter-in-law, Yvonne Nodes of Harborcreek, PA, six grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Nodes, Michelle Tunstall, Justin and Allison Nodes, and David Bartlebaugh, and great-grandchildren, Colin & Aiden Tunstall, Milo Nodes, Kamden, Kendall and Kaleb Bartlebaugh, and one expected.
Friends are invited to the Kloecker-Bailey Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4396 Iroquois Ave Erie, PA 16511 on Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm and are invited to the Funeral Service at Lawrence Park United Methodist Church on Saturday at 10:30am. Private interment will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lawrence Park United Methodist Church, 4015 Niagara Place, Erie PA 16511 or Harbor Creek School District Foundation, 6375 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421
