Mildred Nuzum Obituary
Mildred A. Nuzum, 91, passed away peacefully October 31, 2025 with family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Arthur Hansen and Dorothy Hartman, she was a lifelong Akron area resident. Mildred was a longtime member of the Southeast Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed watching TV, chatting with friends via phone, reading, and spending time with her family and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nuzum; son, David Nuzum. She will be sadly missed by her children, Ruth (Don, Sr.) Johnston, Julie (Michael) Bodish, Cindy (Don, Jr.) Johnston, J (Teresa) Nuzum; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
The family would like to thank the staff of Canton Regency for their loving care of Millie.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Thursday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Mildred's name to the Southeast Church of the Nazarene.
