Mildred J. "Millie" Porretti

PORRETTI, Mildred J. "Millie" (Dalo) of Falmouth, MA, where she passed peacefully on September 28, 2022, at the age of 96. Originally from Newton, she spent most of her life in Lexington, where she raised her family. Millie was the beloved wife of the late Ted Porretti. Devoted mother of Alan Porretti and his wife Susan of Falmouth, Lynne Porretti of Spencer, the late Doreen Dunn and her surviving husband Bob of Falmouth, and Christine Porretti of East Greenwich, RI. Loving grandmother of Scott Porretti and his wife Wendi, Alora Nadeau and her husband Mark, Stacy Homicki and her husband Tom, and Mercedes DeVito. Proud great-grandmother of Jack, Daniel, and Nicholas Porretti; Nathan, Michael, and Megan Nadeau; Joey, Ava, and Cameron Homicki; and Madison Natale. Also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews. Millie was the last surviving of eight siblings and was daughter of the late Francesco and Jennie (DiCaprio) Dalo.



Millie devoted her life to her family. A smile was always on her face at family gatherings, whether a one-on-one visit with a relative or a large family party. She cooked and baked daily; for a weeknight meal, a traditional Sunday family dinner, or any upcoming holiday. Her family meant everything to her. She will joyfully reunite with her late daughter, her husband, and her siblings.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, October 11 at 10 am at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St, Newton before celebrating a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Newton Cemetery.
