Mildred Posey Obituary
She was born May 10, 1926, in Weirton, WV, daughter of the late James Wesley and Addie McKitrick Ritchie.
Mildred retired as a Clerk for C&P Telephone Company of WV. She was a member of the Ohio County Extension Homemakers, 700 Club, Hour of Power Club, and Christ United Methodist Church, where she helped with the newsletters. Mildred and her husband were incredibly faithful to their church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was a great seamstress and embroiderer. She loved spending time together with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dennis Posey in 2003; sister, Martha Rembert; and brother, David W. Ritchie.
Mildred is survived by her three sons, James Dennis (Brenda) Posey of Wheeling, WV, Philip William (Carol) Posey of Little River, SC, Cary David (Vicky) Posey of Wheeling, WV; a grandson, John Dennis Posey of Morgantown, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV (304-232-2732) with Reverend Jacob Steele officiating.
