Mildred Ann Smallwood, age 86 of Duluth, passed away January 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James Royal Smallwood, mother Annie Davis, brothers Cecil Herrin, Tommy Herrin, and sisters Geneva Holland and Mary Autry.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday January 21, 2025 at Peachtree Memorial Park by Ronald Buice and Marshall Sanders of Trueway Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 pm till 2:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel.
Mrs. Smallwood was born in Atlanta and was a retired Nurse Aid/Unit Secretary for the Gwinnett Hospital System (Joan Glancy Hospital). She was a member of Trueway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons; Scott Smallwood (Cindy) of Auburn, and Larry Smallwood (Cheryl) of Braselton, daughters, Connie Presley (Lamar) of Alto and Sue Mayfield (Terry) of Cumming; brother Mike Herrin of Albany; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Truway Baptist Church at 450 Wild Cherry Court Canton, GA 30115, in memory of Mildred Smallwood.
