Millie Sullivan was a great friend of mine. St Theresa's put us together a few years back when Millie struggled with her mobility and was confined to home. I visited her weekly and brought her the Holy Eucharist. I followed her from Central Street to the rehab in Wilmington and finally to Assisted Living in Reading. She loved her family without reservation and talked nonstop about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I recently became a GIGI (my grandmother name) for the first time and Millie delighted in my stories of Justin and Joanna's pregnancy and birth of baby, Gemma. She knit hats and a blanket for the baby and finally at Christmas met Justin and Joanna in person. She was so happy after Gemma was born waited patiently each week to see my new pictures. I am sure Millie would have eventually met Gemma if time had allowed it, but I know that she is watching over all of us now from heaven and is delighting in our growth as a family. I was in Maryland visiting Gemma when Millie passed and was honored at church. I am sure it was a beautiful mass for a truly magnificent woman. We love you Millie and I miss you every day.

Dearest Maureen and Each of you dear Children and Grands and great Grands...I have so many precious memories of Millie and Sully that are a part of my youth. Your parents have always been a loving role model for me, and I will always hold them in my heart with love. I will always remember visiting your crowded, love filled home with your mom and dad at the kitchen table making me feel loved and included in the chaos of all those fun loving kids!! My mom and Millie have been friends throughout their long lives and have passed away within 8 months of each other. Friendship never dies, love is forever.
