MILDRED SUTTEE Obituary

Nov 13, 1929 - March 12, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Mildred "Millie" Suttee passed away peacefully on March 12, 2014, at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1998; and her daughter, Mickey, in 2004. She is survived by daughter, Renita Stoepel and husband Terry, of Texas; son, John Mark Suttee, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Jayne Vinson and husband Melvin, of Norman; daughter, Georgann Verel, of Texas; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Millie retired from AT&T/Lucent after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Pioneer Club. Mom was most happy and proud when her children were around her. She always said, "Having EVERYONE around makes my heart smile." She was spoiled rotten by her children and was so very proud of her family. Mom, you gave many things in life, gifts both great and small, but most of all, you gave us love, the greatest gift of all. Never more than a thought away, Loved and Remembered EVERY DAY. Visitation and service will be with Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 S.E. 29th Street, Del City, OK. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 16, 2014, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Services will be on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. An escorted procession will then proceed to a graveside service at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Boulevard, Oklahoma City.

Mark and I celebrated our birthdays together last night. It felt as if we were back on 23rd street again. Only thing missing was last night was you and daddy. We were having a good time and wishing you were there. I miss you more and more everyday. I love you so much and can't wait to see your beautiful face once again.

Mildred or Millie as I knew her was one fine lady. My comments reflect more on her attitude while at work. I was her supervisor for several years at AT&T and found her to be one of the best employee that ever reported to me. Dedicated to safety, quality and efficiency with a willing sprit to help other employees that needed help. Always on time and would take any assignment given to her and volunteered to do anything that would help the company. Those that read this that have people reporting to them will understand how important an employee like her can be and have a positive effect on the bottom line of a company's performance. I consider my self lucky to have been her boss and looking at her past records when she first reported to me, her previous supervisors rated her as outstanding. also. Definitely a 5 star employee and overall 5 star mother and friend to so many. I am proud to know her family, they have had some great genes passed on to them. I will always miss her smile & her laughter. The world could certainly use more like Millie today.

It is a sad time for our family but a Celebration for our Precious Mother. She is at peace, she is in God's hands and she is with her beloved husband, daughter, brother and sisters, and others who have gone before her. Mom was the oldest of seven children and the last to leave us. We are so blessed to have had her with us for 84 years. The void will never be filled, the memories will sustain us until we are together again.
Our tradition will continue, every night at 8:00 PM, I will wish you Sweet Dreams. You will forever be in my heart. I miss you Mom.

Good bye sweet Millie, you were always so kind and encouraging to me. I've known you a lifetime and you stood in my Mother's place when I needed one. I will never forget you and I will always love you. You were the definition of an 'Iron Lady'. You are with your Love now and out of pain. I promise to you I will be there for your baby girl Georgie whenever she needs me. Rest in Him now sweet Millie. Gone honey but NEVER forgotten. With much love, Renee
