Mildred Thomas, age 95, of Monona passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born in Utica, WI to Hermie and Mildred J. (Heal) Stevenson.
Following high school, Mildred graduated from beauty school in Madison. She spent most of her adult life in California living in San Diego and Century City, thoroughly enjoying her work as a hair dresser. She returned to Wisconsin in 2016 to be closer to family.
Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Willard (Bill) Dobbertin, second husband Dr. I.D.E. Thomas and older sisters Ruth Lenzendorf and Joyce Clapp.
Survived by younger brother Stanley Stevenson, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Peter.
A funeral service for Mildred will be held on Friday, August 15 at Monona United Methodist Church, 606 Nichols Road at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Agrace Hospice would be greatly appreciated ( https://www.agrace.org/donate/ ).
Mildred’s family would like to thank the caring staff at both Oak Park Place East and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care of Mildred.
