"Tommy" Wages, Jr. and fiancé, Carlie Rule, and their son, Tom M. "Tripp" Wages, III of Loganville, GA; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and numerous friends made over the years. Mimi was preceded in death by her parents, Eli Dodosh and Dragica Grmusa Dodosh; step-mother, Betty Dodosh; three brothers, Peter Dodosh and wife Lorretta, Nicholas Dodosh and wife Lillian, George Dodosh and wife Chris, and DeLana's mother, Sara Hall Wages. Mimi's parents came to the United States from Glina, the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia, which in 1918 became the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. They passed through Ellis Island in the New York Harbor and were married on September 22, 1921 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Mimi was born March 5, 1930 in Garfield Heights, Ohio, the youngest of four having three older brothers. She received her education in the Cuyahoga County School System in Ohio. She started working at age 17 at Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Cleveland, Ohio in Ladies Sportswear. She moved to Georgia in 1948 and was a homemaker for many years and worked at various jobs. From 1977 to 1992 Mimi worked as a Correction Officer 2 at the Georgia Industrial Institution (G.I.I.) in Alto, GA. An article appeared in "The Open Door" on Sept. 30, 1977, stating that she was one of the nicest officers at G.I.I. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, eating good food, shopping, seeing her daughters and grandchildren, and most recently a special visit from her great-grandson, Jack. This kind little Yankee lady that came to Georgia back in 1948, became a beautiful Southern lady who loved looking at everything, enjoying beautiful flowers, trees, the sky and animals. She didn't let life get her down, and she felt everyday was a gift. You rest well sweet Mimi and now you are in heaven seeing all your family members that were there waiting for you, especially your mother who died when you were only seven years old. What a beautiful homecoming you are having Mimi. Mimi's Family wanted to give a special thanks to Agape Hospice and to Lanita Russell, RN Case Manager and Kara Vasquez, CNA for the compassionate care, love and professionalism shown to Mimi and her family when they came into the home to care for Mimi. Outstanding service was rendered by Agape. The Service to Honor the Life of Mildred "Mimi" Dodosh Wages will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.
