Miles Bublik Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Aug. 7, 2024.
Miles Russell Bublik was born in Berwyn, Illinois, on August 22, 1958, to Delores Knally and Russell Bublik. Miles grew up in the suburbs of Chicago with his siblings before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1974. He graduated from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale after playing two years of varsity baseball for his favorite coach, Jerry Dawson. He began attending Mesa Community College while continuing to play baseball. Miles completed an apprenticeship with Local Union 469 to become a pipefitter/plumber. From there, he began working on building and maintaining power plants around the US. In 1981, he married Terry Lynn Lovett and had a son, Tyler, and a daughter, Jordan. Miles worked for the City of Scottsdale for over 20 years as a plumber while also running his own plumbing business, and retired in 2020.
Outside of work, he was a dedicated father, attending all his children's school and sports activities; he even coached baseball and softball not only for his own children's teams but also for Cocopah Middle School. Miles loved spending time with family, friends, and his two dogs, Jake and Stuey. He especially loved traveling, and often spent summers with his family in San Clemente, California. Following his retirement, Miles most enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons, Holden and Julien, and helping his children with home improvement projects.
Miles passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2024, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife, children, grandsons, brother Rick, brother-in-law Alex and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, mother-in-law, Stella, father-in-law, Roy, sister Babe, sister-in-law, Linda, and brother-in-law Jack.

When I read yesterday Miles had passed, it hit me pretty hard. We both shared something that we loved and that was baseball. Miles played at Mesa CC and I played at Glendale CC. Although he was a couple years ahead of me, we both experienced Coach Frye.
Many early work mornings at the city were spent chatting about baseball, family, and just life itself.
Miles was someone you could rely on for just pure honesty. If you ever needed something, he would always do his very best to deliver.
He was an incredibly hard worker, and just a wonderful soul.
I will forever be thankful for the time I spent with him and my sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace Miles, you definitely made my life better and you will most definitely, be missed.
