John Charles Bublik

John Charles "Jack" Bublik passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the age of 78. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Melissa, Megan (Derick), and Molly (Matt); his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Brayden, Curran, Ryan, Hadley and Drew; his best friend and son-in-law, Derick Howell; and his wife, Mary.

Born on October 8, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jack was the son of the late Charles and Ann Bublik. He grew up in Independence, Ohio surrounded by cousins, friends and family. He graduated from Independence High School, where he formed friendships he treasured throughout his life, especially his lifelong friendship with Bobby DiGeronimo. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War before returning home to Cleveland. Jack spent his career working at BF Goodrich and Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, retiring after more than four decades of dedicated service.

Jack's incredible sense of humor and legendary one-liners entertained everyone, and his incredible sense of humor will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. A proud Marine, he possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of how to fix just about anything, a remarkable green thumb, and was an incredible musician and gifted athlete. He loved The Eagles, spending time outdoors and on the water and was a devoted fan of the Guardians, Cavs, Buckeyes, Browns, and the Chicago Blackhawks. Above all else, Jack's greatest joy came from time spent with his family, who were the true center of his world.
