Milita Mellis Obituary

Age 85, of Allison Park, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Milita was the beloved sister of the late Xanthi Koutsoutou; dear aunt of Mary Koutsoutou, of Greece; cherished best friend of 25 years of Arlene Metropulos and her family; and dearest friend of the late "Yiayia Rose" Pamphilis and her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband Michael, and parents Konstantinos and Marika Topousi.
Born on October 29, 1939 in the village of Dadia, near the town of Soufli, in Greece, Milita grew up in a German orphanage with her sister until they both completed their education. Milita was a long-term parishioner of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox in Mt. Lebanon, and she was a current member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Allison Park. She showed her love by baking cookies and breads, crocheting and knitting, and giving many hugs and kisses.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211. Friends and family will be received at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cemetery Chapel, 8941 Ringeisen Road, Allison Park, PA 15101 on Sunday 4-7 p.m., Trisagion 6 p.m., Monday 10-11 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., burial will immediately follow. Milita was the kindest, sweetest woman I was blessed to know. She loved people weather they were kind to her or not. She worked tirelessly at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church for years helping with the food festivals and baked the most delicious cookies for my Daughters Wedding. God has a new angel, and she will be missed dearly here. She will be sorely missed. Love you Milita. Joy Palonis and family XOXO
