Millard Basham, 75, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2025, while residing with his son, Michael Basham, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Born on September 3, 1950, Millard lived a full and passionate life, devoted to his family and his love of the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, Millard found joy in nature and the camaraderie of his fellow sportsmen. He was a proud member of both the Pine Ridge Bow Hunters Club and the Floyd County Coon Hunters Club, where he formed many lasting friendships over the years.

A cancer survivor, Millard faced his health challenges with quiet strength and resilience, never allowing them to diminish his love for life or his family.

Millard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Leo Basham and Bertha Johnson Basham; and his brothers TL Basham, Cleon "Don" Basham, and Tony Basham.

He is survived by his loving son, Michael Basham; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Bea Thompson; and his brother, David Basham.

Millard will be remembered for his deep love of the outdoors, his unwavering strength, and the enduring devotion he had for his family. Most of all, he will be remembered for the unwavering love and care he received from his son, Michael Basham, whose presence and support brought great comfort in his final years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society.
