Millard Hoskins, Jr. (Junior), born October 26, 1941, in Pineville, KY and departed us on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the age of 83.
He was the son of the late Angeline and Millard Hoskins Sr., brother to the late, Christine Miracle, Louise Early, Vivian Card and Ross Hoskins.
He is survived by his brother, Hobert Hoskins; sisters, Darlene Saylor, Phyllis Wilder, Bobbie Taylor, Sadie Gibbons, Betty Saylor, wife, Ruby Hoskins and sons, Tim (Aimee) Hoskins and Tony Hoskins. Junior had numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, as well as a huge group of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Junior moved with his wife, Ruby to Pontiac, Michigan to start his career at General Motors. He retired after 32 years of service and moved back to Kentucky. It was in Michigan where Tim (1966) and Tony (1969), gave them the family they always wanted.
Junior had a love for cars at a young age that was furthered by his career at General Motors. To say he owned a lot of vehicles during his time in Michigan would be an understatement. He also loved watching his basketball teams, the Detroit Pistons and the UK Wildcats.
A favorite memory was attending the 2004 Pistons vs Lakers NBA Championship where the Pistons won and Junior ended up in the celebration video for the series.
Junior loved his family very much, it was his love for his wife of 63 years that really says what kind of man he was. He will be sorely missed but his love of his very large extended family will last on.
