Milton Ivy Gresham II, (80), of Evans Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 in Augusta, Georgia.
Milton was born in Macon Georgia to Milton Ivy Gresham I and Lucille Adams Gresham on March 19, 1944. He went to school at Willingham High school. He married Martha Louise Brown on March 25, 1965. He graduated from Georgia Southern University.
He worked as an instructor for the Signal School for Fort Gordon for 32 years.
Milton was a true southern man. He was a member of the Pigeon club, the chess club, loved fly fishing and hunting with his dog Sport in his younger years. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy. He was an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry and studying genealogy. He loved gardening, especially his day lilies. He enjoyed his tortoise Charlie. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His number one joy in life was his soulmate of 60 years, Louise and his family he loved very deeply.
Milton is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Adams Gresham, and father Milton Ivy Gresham I, and Beth Gresham (daughter in law)
Milton is survived by Martha Louise Gresham, Lisa Best (Charles), Sherri Gresham, Terri Hill (John), Mary Frances Senesac (James) and Milton Gresham III.:grandchildren: Lauren Best (Fengkan), Charles Fletcher Best, Dale Hill(Jaylen) Taylor Hill (Anthony), Evan Gresham (Kristen) Jessica Maxwell,(Stephen) Zachariah Best, Jack Hill( Kendall), Kaitlynn (William) Jamie Senesac(Faith), Austin Gresham, Jacob Gresham, Axel Best, and great grandchildren Everett Gresham, Chloe Zhu, Grant Hill, Caden Zhu, Archer Maxwell, Olivia Ramos, Bennett Hudson, Ansleigh Bell, and Alaina Bell.
Pallbearers will be Charles Junior Best, Zachariah Best, Jack Hill, Evan Gresham, Jamie Senasac, Austin Gresham, Jacob Gresham, and Stephen Maxwell.
The family of Milton wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the ICU neurocritical care center at Wellstar of Augusta.
Visitation will be 1 pm Saturday February 8th 2025 at Platts Funeral home
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday February 8th, 2025 at Platts Funeral Home with Tonya Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens and Chapel. Arrangements are by Platts Funeral Home.
