Milton Jerry Saavedra

Milton Saavedra, age 73, of Belen, New Mexico, passed away on July 20,2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sofia and Roman Saavedra; brother, Felix Saavedra; and sisters, Rose Rael, and Mary Sanchez.
He is survived by his adoring daughters, Melinda Ivey (John Ivey), Sharon Saavedra, and Mary Chaves (Mario Chaves); grandchildren, J.T. Ivey, Allie Ivey, Sofie Saavedra, Dominic Chaves, Noah Chaves, and Charee Chaves; brother, Roman Saavedra Jr.; sister, Eva Mascarenaas (Raul Mascarena); well as several nieces and nephews.
Milton was a devoted family man and friend, a dedicated worker who retired from Belen Public Schools after 30 years, a man of his word, genuine in nature, and always willing to help. Some of his favorite daily things were making calls to family and enjoying his coffee.
A Christian man, he enjoyed watching his favorite pastors on TBN, listening to his favorite music, oldies, Christian, and Spanish. He also liked a good shopping trip every now and then.
His family will fondly remember being silly together, toasting with Margaritas during celebrations, and all the many conversations shared.
Services for Milton will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel. A visitation will take place at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Milton will then be laid to rest at Terrace Grove Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be John Ivey, J.T. Ivey, Mario Chaves, Dominic Chaves, Oscar Ortega, and Felix Jr. Saavedra.
