Milton "Grandpa" Ward

Milton "Grandpa" Ward, age 82, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away at Gordon Nursing & Rehab in Calhoun, Georgia on December 19, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
"Grandpa" was born on February 5, 1940, in Rolla, North Dakota to the late Lyle and Ruth Ward. He is also preceded in death by his son Scott Ward; his daughter Audrey Ward; his two great-grandsons Zayne Ward and Gunner Hanson; and his siblings Barbara Biberdorf, Jimmy Ward, Gerald Ward, Allan Ward, and Loren Ward.
Grandpa was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. As the entertainer of the family, he was always the life of the party, playing practical jokes and making everybody laugh. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed being around people. He loved playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles with his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandpa was a gentleman to the end who loved life and lived it to the best of his ability. He will be sorely missed.
Milton "Grandpa" Ward is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Clarice Ward; his children Barry Ward and Wendy Wise (Danny Dew); his grandchildren Justin Ward (Gema), Katie Heller (Zach), Desiray Hanson (Aaron), Mark Ward, Kyle Wise, Brandy Wise (Grant Perkins), and Audrey Wise; his great-grandchildren Skyler Ward, Ayden Ward, Darlene Padilla, Elijah Wise, Charlie Perkins, Jaxon Heller, Addison Hanson, and Bennett Hanson; his siblings Beth Doane (Bill) and Bob Ward, as well as several extended family members.
The family would like to give special thanks to their wonderful family friends Bryan & Carla Smith for being so uplifting and supportive. They have been a huge comfort to the Ward family during this difficult time. They would also like to thank Gordon Health & Rehab for going above and beyond and caring for Milton so diligently.
