On the morning of May 24, 2024, Milton Howard Wilkinson, Jr passed away peacefully from pneumonia. He was with both of his daughters at Ascension Hays Hospital in Kyle, TX. At the time of his passing, Milt was 82 years old.

Milt was born on June 1, 1941, in Moorhead, MN. He was the oldest child of Milton Howard Wilkinson, Sr and Mary Jane (Pender) Wilkinson.

Milt graduated from Barnesville High School and attended Moorhead State University. Milt worked for many years in the food services industry. He also served stateside in the Army for several years during the Vietnam war. 

Milt married Kathleen Reisdorfer on October 19, 1996. They were married for more than 25 years. Together they enjoyed Country Western dancing, playing cards, dice games and fishing at the house on Lake Franklin in their boat, The Loon Ranger. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead, MN

Everyone who knew Milt loved his sunny disposition and his great sense of humor. He was fun, loved traveling, pranks, playing cards, spending time at the lakes and having cookies and coffee for breakfast. They traveled frequently to visit their grandchildren in Austin, TX and Seattle, WA and made many special memories with them over the years. 

Milt was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Frank Wilkinson, his sister Jeralyn Fromm and his wife Kathleen. 

He is survived by his daughter Wendy & her husband Jay and their two children, Austin, TX; his daughter Heidi Wilkinson, Kyle, TX; his stepson, Jason Restemayer, Marysville, WA as well as Jason’s children Ty, Skyler (Olivia Gomez), Aydenn, and Tyhren. He will be sorely missed by his siblings John & Lorna Wilkinson, David Wilkinson, Ramona Daughtery and his many nieces and nephews, and cousins. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN and a lunch to follow. 

Final resting place will be in Elkton Cemetery in Elkton Township, MN.
