Obituary of Mineko Cogar
Mineko T. Cogar
Schuyler - Mineko T. Cogar, 94, of Schuyler passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Foltsbrook.
She was born in Shikoku, Japan on December 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Minoru and Tomi Fujiwara Teramura and she attended schools there. She was married to James Cogar on January 20, 1956 in Fukuoka, Japan. Jim passed away on July 3, 2021. She was a member of American Legion Aux, VFW Aux. and the AF Sgts. Association Aux.
Mineko is survived by her daughter and son in law, Naomi Cogar and her husband, Vernon Gardner of Schuyler; one sister, Wakako Janzen of San Antonio, TX. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Sueo Teramura and her sister, Takeko Fujhara.
Her graveside service will be held in Saratoga National Cemetery with her husband, James at a time to be announced.
Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.

So sorry to hear of Mineko passing. She was such a pleasant person. Remember good times when she and Jim would get together with the family. May she RIP. She is now with her one true love Jim.
