Minerva Gonzalez, age 75, of Austin, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2022.
She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 12, 1947, to Maria Guadalupe (Gutierrez) and Victor Gonzalez. Minerva graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso and went on to receive her Master's Degree from Berkley University.
Minerva made her career in education and worked for San Antonio I.S.D., Berkley University, Austin I.S.D. and Laredo I.S.D. She served in the education field all over the world for close to 50 years.
Minerva was devoted to her family and to all the students and coworkers she touched through her career in education.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her sister, Rosalinda Gil of Pflugerville; her brother, Victor Gonzalez Jr. of San Antonio; her nieces, Monica Gil Silva, Maricela Gonzalez Turner, Minerva Gonzalez Cuellar and Briana Gonzalez; nephews, Victor M. Gil and Victor Juan Gonzalez; great-nieces, Ashley Cuellar, Belen Cuellar, Gracelyn Gil, Carina Silva, Sophia Silva and Lorena Gonzalez; and great-nephews, Mateo Cuellar, Grayson Gil, Michael Poore and Sebastian Gonzalez.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
