Minnie Bladen, a cherished figure in her community, passed away on September 12, 2025, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 89. Born on September 5, 1936, in Teague, Texas, Minnie was known for her outgoing personality and unwavering commitment to honesty, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Affectionately known as "Mama" to many, Minnie was a loving mother to five sons, who undoubtedly carry forward her legacy of strength and love. Her strong-willed nature served as a guiding force not only within her family but also in her interactions with friends and neighbors.
Minnie had a profound passion for cooking, often bringing together family and friends around her table, creating bonds through shared meals and cherished memories. She was a natural leader, always ready to offer her wisdom and steadfast support to those around her.
As we remember Minnie, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life rich in love, truth, and the joy of family. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched during her remarkable journey.
Visitation will be held on September 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will take place the following day, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas in the Allene Chapel.
