Minnie Scenna High, 88, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on April 18, 2025.
She was born on December 6, 1936, in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Frank and Angela Navarra Scenna.
Minnie was a proud graduate of Warwood High School and spent her career with the former law firm of Seibert & Kasserman. She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she also belonged to the St. Michael's Christian Mothers. Minnie was an active member of the Wheeling Yacht Club and enjoyed a lifetime of friendships and community involvement.
She is survived by her loving husband, J. Roger High of 63 years; her children, Daniel E. High and Alan P. High, both of Dublin, OH; Mary Angela High Coffield (Chris) of Zanesfield, OH; and Matthew C. High (Tina) of Wheeling, WV. Minnie was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Joshua High (Tiffany), Morgan Leddy (Aaron), Kelsey Wernke (Nate), Eric High, Curtis High, Zachary High, Nathan Coffield, Benjamin Coffield, and Vincent High; and three great-grandchildren: Saylor Ann High, Summer High, and Brynlee Leddy. She is also survived by her daughter-in-laws, Melissa High and Linda High; brother-in-law, Dr. Philip High; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Connie Petrini Swann.
In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her son, Roger Allen High; her sisters, Delia Scenna Strauss and Amy Scenna Petrini; her brothers, Alio and Frank Scenna; and her daughter-in-law, Denise High.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 25th, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Care Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 204 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, OH. The Very Rev. Carlos Melocoton, V.F., will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
