It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Minnie Taffe, formerly of Washington Street, Bellaire,a beloved member of the Bellaire community, who departed this life peacefully on March 4, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on October 12, 1926, in Bellaire, Ohio, Minnie was a cherished daughter of the late Dominack and Jennie Nardo.
Minnie dedicated her life to being a homemaker, always ensuring that her home was filled with warmth and love. A devout member of St. John Catholic Church, Minnie's spirit of kindness and generosity touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bill Taffe; her brothers, Fred Nardone, Nick, Sam, Rudy, Joseph and Earle Nardo; her sisters, Rose Massa and Irene Shimek; and her nephews, Dennis and Rudy Jr. Nardo and Bobby Nardone.
Minnie is survived by her loving nephews Richard Massa, Dominick, Perry, Christopher, Danny, David, Robin, Sam and Nick Nardo and her nieces Denise Britton, Dana Hines and Mindi Whiteley. Her extended family and friends will forever remember her warmth and devotion.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, Bellaire Chapel, located at 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio. A prayer service will be conducted at 6 pm by Father Daniel Heusel at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10 am at St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio, officiated by Father Daniel Heusel. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary in Bellaire.
Minnie will be remembered for her deep love for her family and her unwavering faith. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Minnie, please visit our floral store.
