Miriah Penick Obituary

Miriah Dawn Penick of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Beverly Ann Landis Buchanan of Greensburg, and the late Kenneth Buchanan, was born on Monday, May 13, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio and departed this life on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home. She was 50 years, eight months, and 5 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and a member of Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She worked as a nurse for Lifeline.
Survived by her husband: Troy Penick of Greensburg, having united in marriage on October 2, 2004.
Other survivors include two sons: Asher Penick and Kennan Penick both of Greensburg; a grandmother: Sylvia Kelly of Greensburg; a brother: Sean Buchanan of Glasgow; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Miriah Penick will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Coffey Cemetery. Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Monday and after 7 A.M, Tuesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund or Coffey Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Miriah and I were roommates during nursing school and for several years after we first got out of school. Miriah was much more than a friend to me . Miriah was like a sister to me . She and I shared so many wonderful years together and I always called her sis . I will forever miss her smile and her laughter that could brighten up any day. Sis this isn´t goodbye it´s just I will see you again one day . I love you always . Avril

I have so many memories starting when I was working at Jane Todd. Mariah was one of the first high school students to spend time with me in ICU. The years passed and I gladly hired her as Team Leader for Lifeline. She was the best Team Leader I ever had. She was an excellent mother, wife, friend and nurse. My since rest condolences to Troy, Beverly, Asher and Kennan.
