Miriam J. Auth, 85 of Alexandria passed from this life to her enteral home on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Community Hospital, Anderson.
Miriam was born in Alexandria on March 31, 1939, and was the daughter of George and Ruby (Johnson) Auth, Jr. She was a graduate of Alexandria High School.
For 27 years Miriam was employed at Fermen’s in Alexandria and then briefly worked at J. C. Pennys in Anderson. She later was employed as a bank teller at Main Source Bank in Alexandria for 22 years.
Miriam was a lifetime and faithful member of the Church of St. Mary’s in Alexandria.
She is survived by a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David G. Auth.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, 1503 S. Park Ave., Alexandira. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. A private burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria.
