Miroslawa "Mira" Anna Pienczykowski, 74, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Joseph's University Medical Center. Born on May 29, 1951, in Bialystok, Poland, Mira was the daughter of the late Marian Fidali and the late Elwira Fidali. Her early life was shaped by the hardships of war, as she was forced to flee her homeland amid conflict on two fronts, Germany and Russia. With courage and resilience, she immigrated to the United States seeking safety and a fresh start. Not knowing a word of English, she arrived with little but determination and hope for a better future. In New York, Mira met and married the love of her life, Eugene Pienczykowski, and together they built a beautiful life and family. A devoted mother of six, Mira mastered the art of balancing the challenges of parenting with grace, warmth, and strength. Her deep passion for antiques and love for collecting unique items led her to sell her intricate treasures. She was best known for her generous spirit, unwavering kindness, and boundless love for her family and friends. A statement from her family reads: Genuine in nature, mom was always a loving, caring and compassionate person. Her kindness knew no limits, and her generosity touched everyone around her. She made the best potato pancakes, pork chop schnitzel, and traditional Polish soups, dishes that rivaled any Michelin starred chef. With six children to raise, she met life's challenges with resilience and humor. Fiercely honest and unwavering in her beliefs, Mom always spoke her mind with conviction and heart. Surviving are: her beloved children; Eugene Pienczykowski and his wife Reishma, Christopher Pienczykowski, and Elizabeth Pienczykowski, 3 grandchildren; Sebastian, Jade and Lilly, close friend of the family, Chris Torres and many nieces and nephews. Mira is predeceased by her 3 sons Richard Pienczykowski, Andrew Pienczykowski, Emil Pienczykowski, sister Bozena "Barbara" Hermanowski, and brother Wodek "Walter" Fidali. Family and friends are invited to visit on July 19, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Gray Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Blessing service will be held on July 19, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Anthony Giacona officiating. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
