Misil Kim Payne Beckstrom, age 52, returned home to her Heavenly Father on August 26, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea, and at just six months old was joyfully welcomed into the loving arms of Mike and Unsil Payne through adoption. From that moment on, she was cherished as a precious part of the Payne family.
So tiny when she arrived, her Uncle Harry affectionately called her “Peanut,” a nickname that stayed with her throughout her life. Misil grew up in Monroe, where she attended Monroe Elementary, South Sevier Middle, and South Sevier High School. She also spent a season of her life in Phoenix before returning to the Sevier Valley, the place she loved and called home for the remainder of her earthly journey.
Survived by her father, Mike Payne, and her husband, Ken Beckstrom.
